3+1/2  lcm of 1 and 2=2

therefore 3= 6/2

6/2 + 1/2= 7/2

total weight of oranges = 7/2 KG

4+ 3/4 lcm of 1 and 4= 4

therefore 4= 16/4

16/4 + 3/4= 19/4

total weight of apples = 19/4 KG

19/4 + 7/2  lcm of 4 and 2= 4

7/2=14/4

19/4 +14/4 = 33/4

therefore total weight of fruits purchased by him = 33/4KG
