Here Ramesh took 2 rounds of the rectangular field whose Length is 55 metre and the Breadth is 46 metre. We have to find the distance covered by him. So to find the distance covered by him first we need to find the perimeter. The perimeter will be e the distance covered in one round. To find the distance covered in the second round we have to multiply 2 after finding out the perimeter as Ramesh had taken 2 rounds of the rectangular field. The product of the perimeter of the rectangle and the rounds taken by Ramesh will be the distance covered by him in 2 rounds.

Answer:-

  • Distance covered by Ramesh in two rounds of the rectangular field is 404 metre.

GIVEN:-

  • Length of the rectangle field = 55 m
  • Breadth of the rectangle field = 46 m
  • Number of times Ramesh runs around the rectangular field = 2 times

TO FIND:-

  • Distance covered by Ramesh in 2 rounds = ?

FORMULA:-

  • Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)
  • Distance covered by Ramesh = Perimeter of the rectangular field × 2

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

  • Perimeter of the rectangular field = 2(L × B)
  • Perimeter of the rectangular field = 2(55 + 46)
  • Perimeter = 2(101)
  • Perimeter = 2 × 101
  • Perimeter = 202
  • So, the perimeter of the rectangular field is 202 metre.

To find the distance covered in 2 rounds multiply 2 with the perimeter.

  • Distance covered in 2 rounds = 2 × 202
  • Distance covered in the 2 rounds = 2 × 202 = 404

So, distance covered by Ramesh in two rounds is 404 metre.
