Answer:

Dimensions of the field = 55 m by 46 m

He ran 2 times around it.

so distance covered = 2 × perimeter of the field

= 2 × 2 (55+46)m

= 2 × 2 × 101 m

= 2 × 202 m

= 404 m

So he ran 404 m in all

Given :

  • Ramesh runs around a rectangular field of length 55m and breadth 46m twice.

Have to Find :

  • Find the distance covered by him?

Solution :

Let's find out the perimeter of the rectangular first.

Perimeter of rectangle → 2 ( l + b)

We know,

Length → 55 m

Breadth → 46 m

Substituting the values in it, we get

☆ Perimeter → 2 ( 55 + 46 )

☆ Perimeter → 2 ( 101 )

Perimeter → 202 m

Now, According to the Question

As we know that ramesh runs twice.

Hence,

Distance covered = Total Revolution × Perimeter.

➹ Distance = 2 × 202

➹ Distance covered → 404 m

Therefore, Ramesh covered the distance of 404 m.
