so 12%ofX=12X/100
Sp=cp+gain
2800=X+12X/100
2800=112X/100
280000=112X
X=280000/112

if cp is 100 then profit is 12
sp =100+12
when sp is 112 then cp is 100
therefore when sp is 1 then cp is 100/112
when sp is 2800 then cp is 100/112×2800=2500
