Let Ramesh, Mahesh and Suresh can finish the work alone in x, y and z days.

But according to question, x = 2y = 3z. that means Ramesh takes twice as much time as mahesh and thrice as much time as suresh to complete the job.

So we can write y = x/2 and z = x/3.

Now, if Ramesh takes x days to complete 1 work. So in 1 day he can do 1/x part of the work.

Similarly, Mahesh and Suresh can do 2/x and 3/x part of the work in 1 day.

So, combinedly they can do 1/x + 2/x + 3/x part of work in 1 day.

their total work in 1 day = 1/x + 2/x + 3/x = 6/x

their total work in 4 days = 24/x part of work.

Acc to ques they are finishing 1 work in 4 days that means 24/x part of work = 1.

Therefore we get the value of x = 24 i.e. Ramesh takes 24 days to complete the task, Mahesh takes 12 days to complete the task and Suresh takes 8 days to complete the task.
