Ramesh was driving a car at 20m/s. He applied brakes which generated force equal to -500N. Find the distance after which car will stop if its weight is 100kg.

-500/-2000=1/t

t=2000/500

t=4s

now,a=(v-u)/t

putting the values,

a=0-20/4

a=-5m/s^2

we know by the first equation of motion that,

s=ut+1/2at^2

s=20*4+1/2*5*4^2

s=80+40

s=120m
