Ramkishan goes to his office by car, if he increases speed of car by 10 kin/h than usual speed then he reaches his office 60 minutes earlier and if he increases speed of his car by 20 km/h than usual speed then he reaches his office 105 minutes earlier. Find his usual speed, usual time and distance between his home and office?

speed (s) = distance/time

s=d/t

d= st----->1

s+10 = d/t-1(time in hours)

(s+10)(t-1)=d (from eqn 1)

st+10t-10-s=st

10t-s=10---->2

(s+20)(t-(7/4))=d(from eqn 2)

st+20t-(7/4)s-35=st

20t-(7/4)s=35 ---->3

from (eqn 2) ×2 =20t- 2s =20

from (eqn 3)= 20t-(7/4)s=35

.'.s=60 km/hr.

t=7 hr

from eqn 1

d= t

=(60)×(7)

d =420 km
