Find the amount by which rampal helped the centre.

Solution:

Slant height = l = $\sqrt{r^2 + h^2}$= $\sqrt{7^2 + 24^2}$ = $\sqrt{625}$ = 25m

Total surface area of each tent = Πrl = $\frac{22}{7} * 7 * 25$ = 550m²

⇒ total surface area of 10 tents = 550 x 10 = 5500m²

Cost of 2m wide canvas = Rs.40
