Given:

r = d/2 = 7m

h = 24m

cost of 2 m wide canvas is rs.40 per metre

To Find:

Find the amount by which rampal helped the centre.

Solution:

Slant height = l = \sqrt{r^2 + h^2}= \sqrt{7^2 + 24^2} = \sqrt{625} = 25m

Total surface area of each tent = Πrl = \frac{22}{7} * 7 * 25 = 550m²

⇒ total surface area of 10 tents = 550 x 10 = 5500m²

Cost of 2m wide canvas = Rs.40

∴ The total cost of canvas = 5500 * \frac{40}{2} = Rs.110000

Hence, Rampal helped the centre by Rs.110000.
