Ramu bought eggs = 2 dozen = 2 × 12 = 24 eggs

CP of eggs = rs. 56

broken eggs = 6

Left eggs = 24 - 6 = 18 eggs

Loss = rs. 20

Loss = CP - SP

20 = 56 - SP of 18 eggs

Sp of 18 eggs = 56 - 20

= rs. 36

SP of 1 egg = 36/18

= rs. 2
