Given:

Ramu bought a second hand refrigerator for rs 4800 they spent rs 700 on it repairs and sold it for 5830.

To find:

  • Find his loss or gain?

Solution:

Cost price of refrigerator = 4800 + 700 = 5500

Selling price of refrigerator = 5830

As we know , It is gain cause selling price is more then cost price.

Gain = SP - CP

Gain = 5830 - 5500

Gain = 330

  {{\red{ \boxed{ \star \mathfrak{ \: gain \: percent =  \frac{gain \times 100}{ CP } }}}}}

Gain percent = 330×100/5500

Gain percent = 33000/5500

Gain percent = 6%

Therefore , Ramu's gain on second hand refrigerator is 330 rupees/6% gain.

Question :

Ramu bought a second hand refrigerator for rs 4800 they spent rs 700 on it repairs and sold it for 5830 ? find his loss or gain

Solution :

Cost prize of refrigerator = Rs. 4800 + 700

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= Rs. 5500.

Selling prize of the refrigerator = Rs. 5830.

Since, S.P > C.P. Therefore, Ramu Gain.

\boxed {\tt  Gain \: = S.P - C.P }

 : \implies \tt {Gain \: = 5830 - 5500 }

 : \implies \tt { Gain \: = 330 }

Now, finding the gain percentage :

 \boxed {\tt Gain \: percent \: = \dfrac { gain \times 100}{C.P} }

 :\implies \tt { \dfrac {330 \times 100}{5500} }

Gain percent = 6%
