Ramu has a paddy field which is in the shape of a rectangle. It has a length 15m and breadth of 8m. If he has ploughed an area of 90sq. m of the field, how much more area is to be ploughed?

given :-

length of the rectangle = 15m

breadth of the rectangle = 8m

therefore it's area = length × breadth (since the field is rectangular)

= 15 × 8

= 120cm²

ATQ, Ramu has already ploughed 90m². now he have to plough = 120 - 90

= 30m²

hence, he have to plough 30m² more area.

Area of the rectangle = l*b
= 15*8
=120 sq.m
if he has ploughed the area of 90 sq.m
the remaining area will be 120_90
= 30 sq.m
