Given:

  • Ramu has a square plot of land of side = 30m
  • Rectangular shed of length                    = 22m
  • Rectangular shed of breadth                 = 16m

To Find: what length of barbed wire would he need?

square plot perimeter

                                    = side × side

                                    = 30 × 30

                                    =900 meter square

As we know that the area of a rectangle,

                                    = length × breadth

rectangular plot perimeter

                                    = 22 × 16

                                    = 352 meter square

Now to know the length of barbed wire we have to do the addition of square plot perimeter and rectangular plot perimeter.

                                    =900+352

                                    = 1252m.sq.

hence the required length of barbed wire would be 1252m.sq.
