Hello good morning

Step by step explanation:

Total amount: 500.50

Ramu wants to purchase 15 pens each of cost 10.50

So total amount of pens is 15* 10.50 = 157.5

So for the left over cost we have to subtract the total amount of money - total amount of the pens

= 500.50-157.5 = 343

So the remaining amount is rupees 343

Now each pencil costs 10 rs

So we have to divide the remaining amount by the amount of which one pen costs

= 343/10 = 34.3

But we can’t buy .3 so Ramu can buy 34 pencils

So the total cost of pencils is 340

Now the remaining amount is

157.5+340 = 497.5

Therefore the remaining amount is 500.5- 497.5 = Rs 3.0

Therefore Ramu can buy 34 pencils and 3 rupees will be left with him

Hope I helped you

Thank you
