Ramu, the gardener, was burning dead leave and plants, mr rao stopped him and said, next time don't burn the dry leaves, bury them in a pit, why did Mr rao ask ramu to do so?

becoz on burning leaves it release a lot of harmful gases , while on bury after sometime it converts into compost/ manure which is very useful.

He may have told him to bury the leaves in the pit because burning can cause pollution and burying leaves in the soil is way more useful than , burning them, by burying them , soil can be enriched in nutrients naturally and dry leaves can work as manure for soil..
