Ramu was a village boy. He loaded his donkey daily to sell vegetables cultivated by his father on agricultural land. It was his daily routine and he felt bored of it. He thought of a plan to prank the fellow villagers. He cried "Wolf! Wolf!! Help! Help!!" The villagers who were busy in drying the grains, lifting water from a well, ploughing the fields, watering the crops rushed with lathis in their hands to help him. But to their amazement they found no wolf. Instead they saw Ramu swimming in a pond and laughing. He repeated this several times until one day wolf actually came, Ramu cried for help but no one turned up and he was badly wounded. Since that day he promised not to lie again.
