Given : Ramya bought 10 shares at market value of ₹100 each with brokerage at 0.25%.

To Find :  the amount he got from this deal is ₹_____

Solution:

Question is incorrect as if shares are bought then amount need to be paid ( not get)

If amount need to get then shares has to be sold.

Taking Both cases one by one

Sold 10 shares of MV = 100

=> Selling Price = 10 x 100  = 1000  Rs

Brokerage to be paid  = (0.25/100) * 1000 = 2.5 Rs

Amount got = 1000 - 2.5

= 997.5 Rs

 the amount he got from this deal is ₹ 997.5

Bought 10 shares of MV = 100

=>Buy Price = 10 x 100  = 1000  Rs

Brokerage to be paid  = (0.25/100) * 1000 = 2.5 Rs

Amount to paid = 1000 + 2.5

= 1002.5 Rs

the amount paid in the deal is ₹ 1002.5
