That is She can cut 6 full rectangles.

And remaining part dimensions =  \frac{2}{5} ×  \frac{45}{4}

Given:

Ramya bought a rectangular cardboard of lenght \frac{68}{5} cm and breath \frac{45}{4} cm respectively.

She wanted to cut the rectangular cardboard into rectangles of width \frac{11}{5} cm and the length same as that of the cardboard.

To find:

How many pieces can she cut.

Find the dimensions of the leftover cardboard piece.

Formula used:

Area of rectangle = lenght × breath

Explanaation:

Area of cardbord =  \frac{68}{5} × \frac{45}{4}

Supose Ramya cuts n number of rectangular cardboard.

Area of cut cardbord = n × \frac{11}{5} × \frac{45}{4}

As Given that length same as that of the cardboard.

So,    n × \frac{45}{4} × \frac{11}{5} =  \frac{68}{5} × \frac{45}{4}

          n ×  \frac{11}{5}  =  \frac{68}{5}

         6 ×  \frac{11}{5}  = \frac{66}{5}  and reamaining part is  \frac{2}{5}

That is She can cut 6 full rectangles.

And remaining part dimensions =  \frac{2}{5} ×  \frac{45}{4}

Given :  Ramya bought a rectangular cardboard of lenght 68/5 cm and breath 45/4 cm respectively. She wanted to cut the rectangular cardboard into rectangles of width 11/5 cm and the length same as that of the cardboard.

To find: How many pieces can she cut ? Find the dimensions of the leftover cardboard piece.

Solution:

cardboard of length 68/5 cm

breadth 45/4 cm

cut the rectangular cardboard into rectangles of width 11/5 cm and the length same as that of the cardboard

as length is same so we need to check how many width can be cut from width

(45/4 )/(11/5)

= 225/44

= 5.1

Hence 5 pieces can be cut

Left over piece width =    45/4   -  5(11/5)

= 45/4 - 11

= (45 - 44)/11

= 1/11 cm

Length = 68/5 cm

dimensions of the leftover cardboard piece. = (68//5) cm * (1/11) cm

5 pieces she can cut
