Diviya covers less distance.

EXPLANATION;

Ramya runs around square Park of side 80m

total distance covered by Ramya = Perimeter of square

perimeter of square = 4 × Side

(put values)

4×80m = 320m

Diviya runs around rectangular park of length 70m and breadth 55m

Total distance covered by Diviya = Area of rectangle

Area of rectangle = 2×(L+B)

(put values)

2 × (70m+55m)

= 2 × 125m

= 250m

Compare the distances covered by them

Ramya Diviya

320m > 250m

Hence, Diviya covered less distance, compared to Ramya.

Hope it helps.

Answer:

given side of square park = 80 cm

perimeter of square park = 4 × side = 4 × 80 = 320 m

given length of rectangular park = 70m

breadth of rectangular park = 55m

perimeter of rectangular park = 2(length + breadth)

= 2(70+55) = 2(125) = 250m

ramya runs a distance = perimeter of the square park

= 320m

divya runs a distance = permieter of the rectangular park

= 250m

divya covers lesser distance then ramya
