Let us consider the whole cake as 1.

Rani ate 2/7 part= 1*2/7= 2/7

Remaining part= 1-2/7= 7-2/7= 5/7

Her brother ate= 5/7*4/5= 4/7

Cake left= 5/7-4/7= 1/7
