Answer:

Rani has to purchase 120 orchids for her garden.

Step by step solution:

To find the number of orchids for Rani's garden,She found out she can plant them in rows of 12 or 15. Find the number of plants she had if the number was between 100 and 150

we have to find the LCM of 12 and 15

12 = 2 \times 2 \times 3 \\  \\ 15 = 3 \times 5 \\  \\ LCM(12 ,\: 15) = 2  \times 2 \times 3 \times 5 \\  \\  = 60 \\  \\

Now the plants should be in the range 100 to 150, So find the multiple of LCM of 12 and 15.

Multiple of 60 are 120,180,240...

But we have to purchase in between 100 and 150,so there exist 120

Thus rani has to purchase 120 orchids for her garden.

Hope it helps you.
