rani had certain sum of money rs.x out of which she pays rs.800 to the grocer she paid 1/3 rd of rs.x her maid and gardener in the respective ratio 2:1.if after all the mentioned expenses she is left with rs .2200 how much did she pay to her maid?​

Total money = x

after giving 800 to grocer, remaining money is x-800

maid : gardner = 2 : 1 = 2y : 1y

(1/3) x = 2y + y

(1/9) x = y

x - 800 - (2/9)x - (1/9)x = 2200

x - (1/3)x = 3000

(2/3)x = 3000

x = 4500

So maid is paid (2/9)×4500 = 1000 bucks
