Question

Rani has only 1 and 2 rs coin with her if total she has 50 coins then amount of money she has is 75 then number of 1 and 2 rs coins respectively are.

Solution

Let number of Re 1 coins = x

and number of Rs 2 coins = y

Now, by given conditions:

Total number of coins = x + y = 50 …(i)

[/tex]

Also, Amount of money with her = (Number of Re 1 x1) + (Number of Rs2 x coin 2)

[tex]

= x(1)+ y(2) = 75

= x+2y = 75 …(ii)

On subtracting Eq. (i) from Eq. (ii), we get

(x + 2y) - (x + y) = (75 - 50)

x+2y-x-y=25

y=25

So, y = 25 we get x = 25.

Hence he has 25 Re 1 coins and 25 Rs 2 coins.

Let number of Re 1 coins = x

Now, by given conditions:

Total number of coins = x + y = 50 …(i)

Also, Amount of money with her = (Number of Re 1 x1) + (Number of Rs2 x coin 2)

= x(1)+ y(2) = 75

= x+2y = 75 …(ii)

On subtracting Eq. (i) from Eq. (ii), we get

(x + 2y) - (x + y) = (75 - 50)

x+2y-x-y=25

y=25

So, y = 25 we get x = 25.

Hence he has 25 Re 1 coins and 25 Rs 2 coins.
