The teacher stopped her from drinking the water because many toxic, harmful and dirty chemicals, materials, plastic wastes could be dumped in that lake. Mosquitoes also should be around areas like these making it unsafe and unhealthy. Many people could've also used that lake as a toilet so it will extremely dangerous if anyone drinks from that lake. It could lead to infections, diarrhea, Malaria, puking, diseases and many more viruses could have entered her body if she had drunk the water from that lake.
