(b) Aorta > artery > arteriole > capillary > venule > vein.

Explanation:

  1. The pumping activity of the heart begins with the contraction of the heart's muscular walls.  The contraction-relaxation cycle is repeated on a regular basis.
  2. The right auricle receives carbon dioxide-rich blood from two large veins located in the back and front of the heart.
  3. Blood then goes from the right auricle to the right ventricle, and finally to the lungs through the pulmonary artery.
  4. The gaseous exchange in the lungs converts deoxygenated blood into pure blood, which is oxygen-rich.
  5. This blood travels to the left auricle through the pulmonary veins. It then travels to the ventricles on the left side.
  6. Oxygenated blood is pushed from the left ventricles into the aorta, the biggest artery in the body that supplies all body parts.
