Rashi went on shopping with her mother. There she saw a toy whose selling price was Rs. 200. The shopkeeper sells it at a discount of 20%. The shopkeeper still makes a profit of 60%. Find the cost of the toy.

\huge{\mathcal\pink{Solution-}}

Given,

The selling price of the toy= Rs. 200

There is a discount of 20%.

So, the total percentage of the selling price Rashi has to pay:

= 100 - 20

= 80%

So, the price at which the product was sold:

= 80 ÷ 100 × 200

= Rs. 160

If is given that even after the discount the shopkeeper was making a profit of 60%.

So, the cost price of the toy:

= 100 ÷ 160 × 160

= Rs. 100

Hence, the actually price of the toy is Rs. 100.
