Given :- Rashmi ate one-sixth of a pizza and Akshay ate one-third of the same pizza.The rest was eaten by Raghav. What part of the pizza did Raghav eat ?

Solution :-

we have,

→ Rashmi ate pizza = (1/6)th of a pizza

and,

→ Akshay ate pizza = (1/3)rd of same pizza .

so,

→ Both Rashmi and akshay ate = 1 - (1/3 + 1/6) = (6 - 2 - 1)/6 = (3/6) = (1/2) of same pizza

now, since rest pizza was eaten by raghav .

then,

→ Part of pizza ate by raghav = 1 - Both Rashmi and akshay ate = 1 - (1/2) = (1/2) part of the same pizza .

Given:

Rashmi ate one-sixth of a pizza and Akshay ate one-third of the same pizza. The rest was eaten by Raghav.

To find:

What part of the pizza did Raghav eat?

Solution:

Rashmi ate one-sixth of a pizza and Akshay ate one-third of the same pizza.

Adding one-sixth and one-third:

 =  >  \dfrac{1}{6}  +  \dfrac{1}{3}

LCM of 6 and 3 is 6

 =  >  \dfrac{1 + 2}{6}

 =  >   \dfrac{3}{6}  =  \dfrac{1}{2}

Therefore, half of the pizza was eaten by Rashmi and Akshay.

It is given that the rest of the pizza was eaten by Raghav.

 =  > 1 -  \dfrac{1}{2}  =  \dfrac{1}{2}

Hence, half part of the pizza was eaten by Raghav.
