Ratan scored 89 marks in a test getting 2 marks for each correct answer and losing 1 mark for
each wrong answer. Had 3 marks been awarded for each correct answer and 2 marks
been deducted for each wrong answer, he would have scored 130.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the questions Ratan got right be = x

Let the questions Ratan got wrong for be = y

So, the marks obtained by Ratan for right answer will be 2*x=2x

and the marks lost by Ratan will be 1*y=y

So the linear equation formed will be

   2x+y=89

Now for the second part

If the marks given for each right ans would be 3 then the marks obtained would be 3x and marks lost would be 2y

and therefore the linear equation formed will be

  3x+2y=130

Hope that helped u :)
