If glucose breakdown in presence of oxygen than pyruvate will obtain and then it will give mitochondria to give 6co2+ 6h2o + 38 ATP

If glucose breakdown in abscence of oxygen in microorganisms like yeast than pyruvate will obtain and than it will give ethanol+ co2 +2ATP

And when this anaerobic respiration occur in humans glucose will breakdown into pyruvate and give lactic acid +2ATP
