The rate of transpiration will be higher in a sunny day than in rainy days because:

  • during rainy days the sunlight might be blocked which drastically affect the rate of transpiration
  • During rainy days, the humidity will be higher that means the moisture is present in a large amount in the atmosphere, which slows downs the movement of water molecules from the leaves to transpire.
