Social media was introduced with the main aim to connect people who are far away from their loved ones. At present, social media are full of videos and memes.

People earn money through the content and posting fake memes and spreading fake videos stating lies has become a trend. This is done with the intention of spreading hatred, imposing wrong perceptions and ideas.

The cost of such fake news is misinformation, the wrong judgement of individuals and communities. People easily believe what they go through, without verifying the fact. The negative effect may end up harming human relations.
