The ratio of the two quantities is?  

Solution:  

1. The ratio of two quantities a and b is calculated by using the formula (a/b). The ratio of a and b is denoted as a:b.  

=> a:b simply implies a/b.  

2. The given quantities are 3m and 15 cm. The units of the two quantities are different. Hence, we have to make the units similar.  

=> The value of 1 meter is 100 cm,

=> The value of 3 meters is 300 cm,  

=> The ratio of 3m to 15 cm is,

=> 3m / 15 cm is​,  

=> 300 cm/ 15 cm, ( Units are same hence operation can be performed  ).  

=> 20/1.
