Let the height of each triangle be 'x',

Take two triangles,

\triangle ABC and \triangle PQR

ar(ABC) = 1/2 * b * h

= 1/2 * 6 * x

= 3x

Now,

ar(PQR) = 1/2 * b * h

= 1/2 * b * x

=bx/2

Equate with the given ratio,

3x \div bx/2 = 2/3

3x * 2/bx = 2/3

'x' cancels out,

6/b = 2/3

Cross multiply,

2b = 18

b = 18/2

b = 9
