What is ratio of brickwork 9"?

Bricks should be used only after soaking. Dry bricks absorb water from cement mortar which may result cracks. For 9” thick load bearing walls the cement:sand ratio should not be leaner than is 1:6 and for 4.5” thick wall the ratio is 1:4.
