Answer:

9 days

Step-by-step explanation:

Ratio of A and B for complete the work is 3:5

so they do work together is

take lcm of 3 and 5 it gives 15

now total work is 15

so 15/3 = a can do 5 unit of work per day

similarly 15/5 = B can do 3 unit work per day out of 15 now

5+3 = 8 it means they can do 8 unit work per day

so time taken is = 15/8

but the examiner is saying that they complete the work in 45/8 days

ie. 15/8 = 45/8 [clearly 3 times so, we directly say that the ratio is must be 3 times i means 9:15 (3:5)]

then A = ? with efficiency of 5 unit work per day

so

=> 45/8 /15/8 × 3 ( here 3 bcoz of ratio was given 3:5)

=> 9 days is the answer
