According to question laxmi's age x and her mother's age 24+x
x/24+x = 3/11
11x = 3(x+24)
X = 9
So their present ages 9, 33
Ratio of their ages after 3 yrs
9+3/33+3 = 12/36 = 1/3 = 1:3

Answer:

1:3

Step-by-step explanation:

Let  Laxmi's age = A

Mothers Age = 24 + A

Given

A / (24+A) = 3/11

11A = 3(24 + A)

11A = 72 + 3A

11A - 3A = 72

8A = 72

Therefore A = 72 / 8 = 9

Ie Laxmis Age = 9

Mothers Age = 24 + 9 = 33

Ratio of their ages after 3 yrs

9+3/33+3 = 12/36 = 1/3 = 1:3
