Ello there!

---------------------------

Question: Ratio of measure of two supplementry angles is 2:3 .Find the measure of two angles

---------------------------

Answer

Supplementry angles are those angles who add up to 180°

The given angles are 2x and 3x

Now we equate.

2x + 3x = 180°

       5x = 180°

         x = 180/5

        x = 36°

Now the value of x is 36, now we substitute this value in 2x and 3x.

2x

= 2(36)

= 72°

3x

= 3(36)

= 108°

Therefore 2x = 72° and 3x = 108°

----------------------------------

Not sure with the answer?

You can check whether your answer is correct by a cool method. First you add both the angles (72 and 108) and you musr obtain 180°.

(this IS NOT neccesary for the question, just for checking purposes)

72° + 108° = 180°

      180° = 180°

      LHS = RHS

∴The angles obtained are correct.

Hope It Helps!
