suppose displacement is half.. u can change the displacement and then try on ur own

Potential energy in SHM = (1/2) kx^2 - - - - (i)

Total energy in SHM = (1/2)kA^2 - - - - (ii)

But according to your question, displacement is equal to half of its amplitude

i.e. x = A/2

On substituting the value of x in (i) and then finding out the ratio, we get-

1:4
