Answer:

length = 9 cm breadth = 6.3 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ratio 10:7

lets say length = 10a  &  breadth = 7a  . Where 'a' is a variable

area of rectangle = length x breadth = 56.7 cm²

10a x 7a = 70a² = 56.7 cm²

a² = 56.7 ÷ 70

a² = 0.81

a² = 81 /100

a² = 9² / 10²

a² = (9/10)²

adding root an both sides and cancelling with the square. we get

a = 9/10 = 0.9 cm

length = 10a = 10 x 0.9 = 9 cm

breadth = 7a - 7 x 0.9 = 6.3 cm
