ratio of their ages of amita and mukesh is 2:3 after four years the ratio of their ages will be 6:7 find their present ages​

Let the age of amita be 2x

and Mukesh be 3x

after four years the age of Amita will be 2 X + 4 and the age of Mukesh will be 4 x + 4

according to question

2x+4/(3x+4)

(2x + 4)  \div (3x + 4)  = 6x \div 7x

by criss cross-:

(2x + 4) \times 7x = (3x + 4) \times 6x

14x^{2}  + 28x = 18x ^{2}  + 24x

14x^{2}  - 18x^{2}  = 28x - 24x

4x^{2}  = 4x

x = 4x \div  4x

x = 1

therefore the present age of amita

=2x

=2×1

=2years

and the present age of Mukesh

=3x

=3×1

=3
