Answer: cost of an alloy is Rs. 312

Explanation:

Given,

Tin and Lead are in the ratio of 3:2

1Kg of tin = Rs.30

1Kg of lead = Rs.20

to find: cost of 12 kg alloy

=Tin: Lead

=3/5*12 : 2/5*12

=7.2: 4.8

Tin (in KG)= 7.2KG

Lead(in KG)=4.8KG

Cost of tin=  30*7.2

                 =Rs. 216

Cost of lead= 20*4.8

                    =Rs.96

the total cost of alloy = 216+96

                              =Rs. 312
