ratio of two adjoining sides of a parallelogram is 5:7 and its perimeter is 384cm. Find the length of its each side
Answers
SOLUTION
GIVEN
- The ratio of two adjoining sides of a parallelogram is 5:7
- The perimeter is 384cm.
TO DETERMINE
The length of its each side
EVALUATION
Here it is given that ratio of two adjoining sides of a parallelogram is 5 : 7
Let 5x and 7x be the sides of the parallelogram
So by the given condition
First side = 5x = ( 5 × 16 ) = 80 cm
Second side = 7x = ( 7× 16 ) = 112 cm
FINAL ANSWER
The length of the sides are 80 cm and 112 cm
Consequently all sides are 80 cm, 112 cm, 80 cm, 112 cm

Given : ratio of two adjoining sides of a parallelogram is 5:7
perimeter is 384cm
To Find : Length of Each Side
Solution:
Parallelogram has opposites sides Equal
ratio of two adjoining sides of a parallelogram is 5:7
Let say sides are 5S and 7S cm
Opposites sides are also 5S and 7S
Perimeter = 5S + 7S + 5S + 7S
= 24S cm
Perimeter = 384 cm
24S = 384
=> S = 16
5S = 5(16) = 80 cm
7S = 7(16) = 112 cm
Length of sides of Parallelogram are : 80 cm , 112 cm , 80 cm and 112 cm
