now you know product of two number = hcf of those numbers * their LCM.
now given that they are in ratio 3:4 so both numbers must be of form 3x and 4x where x Belongs to I .
Now what is there which is common between them?? Surely HCF is the highest common factor which will be cancelled while taking ratio , hence x=4 and two numbers are 12 and 16 .
so their LCM is 48.

let the rational constant = x
then, no. are 3x & 4x
h.c.f. of 3x & 4x is x
so, x = 4
1st no. = 3x = 3 x 4 = 12
2nd no. = 4x = 4 x 4 = 16
sum of no. = 12 + 16 = 28
hope it will help u,
