If p:q=2:5, r:s=3:2 and p:r=1:3, how can you find out the pqrs ratio?
Complete your story with KDP & win cash prizes up to Rs 5 lakhs.
In such ratios, take two ratios first and find the LCM of common value and proceed as mentioned below .....
eg., take r:s and p:r first..
p r s
3 2
1 3
------------------------------------------------------
1(3/3 * 1) 3 (LCM of 3, 3) 2(3/3 * 2)
Now we have p:r:s = 1:3:2
then in same way...
p q r s
1 3 2
2 5
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2(LCM of 1,2) 5(2/2 * 5) 6(2/1 * 3) 4(2/1 * 2)
Thus,p:q:r:s = 2:5:6:4
Hope this helps :)
