Answer: TRUE ,RATIONAL NUMBERS ARE NOT

CLOSED UNDER DIVISION, ITS BECAUSE WHEN

WE TAKE ANY TWO RATIONAL NUMBER WE

MULTIPLY , ADD OR SUBTRACT THE NUMBERS,

YOU GET  RATIONAL NUMBERS AND THEY BOTH

ARE EQUAL TO EACH OTHER. BUT WHEN YOU

DIVIDE A NUMBER YOU DO NOT GET A RATIONAL

NUMBER AND THEY ARE NOT EQUAL TO EACH

OTHER.

LETS TEST IT OUT WITH AN EXAMPLE TO PROVE THAT:-

                                      A÷B ≠ B÷A

LETS TAKE A= 1/8 , B= -2/3

SO FIRST LETS DIVIDE  = 1/8 ÷ -2/3 = 1/8 × -3/2 = -3/6

NEXT LETS DIVIDE = -2/3 ÷ 1/8 = -2/3 × 8/1 = -16/3

                   THEREFORE -3/6 ≠ -16/3

SO IT IS NOT CLOSED UNDER DIVISION...........

HOPE IT HELPS YOU

HAVE A GREAT DAY..
