Hi there !!

Common method is Multiplying by 10

5/7×10/10=50/70 and 6/7×10/10=60/70

51/70, 52/70 etc..

Please look at attachment (by various methods)

Thankyou :)

Given: Rational numbers -   \frac{5}{7} and \frac{6}{7}

To find: Rational numbers between the given numbers

Solution: The given rational numbers have same denominators.

To insert rational numbers, we need to multiply both the numerator and denominator of each rational number by a number (depending on the number of rational numbers we want to insert in between). For example, let's find 3 rational numbers between given numbers.

We need to multiply the numbers by 3 + 1 i.e. 4.

\frac{5}{7} × \frac{4}{4} = \frac{20}{28} and \frac{6}{7} × \frac{4}{4} = \frac{24}{28}

We know that 21, 22 and 23 are the integers between 20 and 24.

i.e. 20 < 21 < 22 < 23 < 24

Hence, three rational numbers between \frac{5}{7} and \frac{6}{7} are:

\frac{21}{28},  \frac{22}{28} \ and \  \frac{23}{28}
