=4+√2/2+√2
=4+√2/2+√2×2-√2/2-√2
=(4+√2)(2-√2)/4-2
=4(2-√2)+√2(2-√2)/2
=(8-4√2+2√2-2)/2
=(6-2√2)/2. {take 2 common}
=2(3-√2)/2
=3-√2
then you can put the value of √2 and subtract it from 3 , result will be a rational no.
