Rationalise the denominator 1/√8-2

(√8+2)/4. Since, (1/√8-2)*(√8+2/ √8+2)= (√8+2)/(8-4)= (√8+2)/4

Kayez: so when you use this formula and multiply an irrational number with itself it will become rational. For example { (a)1/2- b} (a to the power half) when multiplied by {(a)1/2 + b} it becomes {a- (b)2} (b square)
