(1 - √3 ) / √2
As there is √2 in the denominator and we know that √2 x √2 = 2
So, multiply top and bottom by √2 .
[(1-√3) x √2] / (√2 x √2)
= [1√2 - √2 x √3] / 2 [ use distributive property]
=[ √2 - √6] /2
