(i) Given : 3/√5

The Rationalising factor of the denominator is  √5.

= (3 × √5) /(√5  ×√5)

= (3√5) /5

(ii) 3/2√5

The Rationalising factor of the denominator is  √5.

=  (3 × √5) / (2√5 × √5))

=  (3√5) / (2 × 5)

=  (3√5) / 10

(iii)1/√12

The Rationalising factor of the denominator is  √12.

= (1 × √12 )/(√12 × √12)

= √12/12

= √(4 × 3)/12

= 2√3/12

= √3/6

(iv) √2/√5

The Rationalising factor of the denominator is  √5.

= (√2 × √5)/(√5 × √5)

= √10/5

(v) √3 + 1/√2

The Rationalising factor of the denominator is  √2.

= (√3 + 1) × √2 /√2 × √2

= [√3 × √2 + √2)/2

= (√6 + √2)/2

(vi) √2 + √5 / √3

The Rationalising factor of the denominator is  √3.

= [(√2 + √5) × √3] / √3 × √3

= [√2 × √3 + √5 × √3]/3

= (√6 + √15) /3

(vii) 3√2/√5

The Rationalising factor of the denominator is √5.

= (3√2 × √5 )/(√5 × √5)

= 3√10/5
