rationalising factor of √5-2 is √5+2

(√5-2)×(√5+2)=(√5

=5-4
=1
we can rationalise the term by using √5+2.

Rationalising factor of an irrational number is the one which when multiplied with the irrational number gives a rational number as the product

The rational number of √5-2 is √5+2

(√5-2) (√5+2)

(a+b)(a-b)=a²-b²

=√5²-2²

=5-4

=1
